Capacitor Reference - PowerBook 5300c
A recap may bring a dead 5300c back to life if corrosion and a broken power jack are ruled out as problems.
The 5300c shipped with LCDs from two vendors - Sharp and Toshiba. The Sharp panel has electrolytic caps on it, the Toshiba panel does not.
