WinBook C100 Home

Also Known As: WinBook 8080

The WinBook C100 series laptops were means to replace the X series temporarily as their thin-and-light offering as far as I can tell. At least, that's how WinBook marketed them as. The X Series thin and lights would return shortly after. Like all other WinBook laptops, these were based on an off-the-shelf design from a company known as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer). In the case of the C100, that was Mitac, and the C100 is based off the MiNote 8080. The 8080 model number is still present on the bottom of the laptop as evidence of this. In fact, there is no real C100 branding anywhere on these (despite what's shown in the photo, actual units didn't have the big "WinBook C" branding). The only reference to their series is the first few digits of the serial number sticker.
