Welcome to the Paoku Homepage on MacDat!
Paoku, also known as P&C Shiten Enterprise, was a Taiwan-based computer manufacturer and ODM. They were an early pioneer in the Taiwanese laptop industry, releasing their first model in 1987. Throughout the late 1980s, they would release three different models, all larger luggable style laptops with orange gas plasma displays. From what I've seen on the used market today, it seems they were most popular in Europe.
Paoku would continue doing business into the early 1990s, releasing at least three notebook-sized computers, the last on record being in 1993. I can't find any information on them beyond this point. I assume they went out of business or were acquired, but I don't know when or why they vanished.
Paoku sold their laptops through resellers, but they often do have either Paoku or P&C branding on them.
