Welcome to the NTK Homepage on MacDat!

NTK Computer (Newtech Korea) was a South Korean computer/laptop manufacturer and ODM. They produced several models from the early 1990s through the mid 1990s. Many of their laptops were quite innovative! In 1997, they became a victim of the 1997 Asian financial crisis, and went into solvent bankruptcy. The brand name survived, but their computer division was shut down.

See here and here for more information.

NTK's lineup was sold under their own brand in Korea. In international markets, they were sold through resellers. Their main US reseller was MD&I, but they also sold to AceHigh and BIT Computer.

The logo in the infobox was re-created by my friend Revision2K based on some low-res versions of their original logo. It isn't a 100% match, but it's close. Below is the highest quality version of their original logo that I have been able to find. Every photo I have found of NTK's logo has also looked slightly different, so I don't think there is one 100% "correct" version.

A huge thank you also goes out to Reshiram for helping me research this company!
