Welcome to the Digital Homepage on MacDat!

Digital (DEC) was a US-based computer manufacturer that was a major early innovator in the computer industry. This page documents their laptop computers, released during the 1990s up until their 1998 acquisition by Compaq, after which the brand was phased out. Digital did not manufacture their laptops-in house, so their lineup came from a number of different OEM/ODM companies, including Compaq, who manufactured some of their HiNote line.
